Cliona's 12th Annual Charity Cycle - 90 km CHALLENGE CYCLE (over 18s only)

The 12th Annual Clionas Foundation Cycle will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2019, from Bruff Rugby Club, just 25km from Limerick city. 


The event is in association with the Live 95fm Helping Limerick Children Initiative, and all funds raised will go directly towards reaching their 2019 target of €95,000 to benefit the Children's Grief Centre, CARI and Cliona’s Foundation.


It is a fantastic family day out with something for all ages and all levels of fitness and ability. There is:

  • the 90km Cliona’s Challenge (over 18s only)
  • a 10km cycle for kiddies and beginners 
  • a 40km family/leisure cycle 

On finishing the cycle participants can look forward to plenty of food from the famous BBQ, while the kids will be kept entertained with the bouncy castle and more.

The 90 km start time: starts at 10.00am, registration is from 8.30am. Bring your ticket or show it on your phone.

IMPORTANT: Cycle Helmets are essential. No helmet, no cycle!

Supported Charities: The event, in association with the Live 95fm Helping Limerick Children initiative, supports the Children's Grief Centre, CARI, and Cliona’s Foundation.

Participation fee: 

€20.00 for Cycling Ireland Members (bring your membership number).
€25.00 per Non-Members.

Event Location


From Limerick, go straight out the Bruff-Kilmallock-Lough Gur road (R512) at the roundabout on the Childers Rd., through Ballyneety and Holycross into Bruff. In the town of Bruff take a left onto the R516 at the mural of “The flight of the Earls” and approximately 1 mile on that road (R516) on the left-hand side is the rugby club.

From Tipperary take the R515 through Emly and turn right after the “Little village” onto the R516 to Hospital. You cross over the R513 to Limerick in Hospital Town and continue straight on until turning left at the GAA pitch in Knockainy.

From Cork take the N20 until Rath Luirc (Charleville) Turn right onto the R515 to Kilmallock past Golden Vale Cheese Plant, Left in Kilmallock Town onto the R512 to Limerick and Right in Bruff Town onto the R516.
